Hi Tom,

I want to upload a 9Mb file to my course (Renewable Energy Systems). Its a learner notes document for the students. How can I do this without exceeding my upload file size?

The easiest way to get large files to people is to upload them to DropBox or a similar service (e.g. Google drive, Box etc). These services give a few gigabytes of free space.

All staff at Kinsale college already have a 'Google Apps for Education' email account. This automatically gives you access to Google Drive (and Google Docs) which is a great way to upload and share all types of files without creating another account.

These file sharing sites then let you copy a link that you can share by pasting into resources in Moodle. The links aren't public so your files are reasonably private.
